Leg 3: The road to the sea

Leaving the historic Santiago de Compostela, we turn northwards towards the sea and our road back to Santander.
Day 14: Santiago de Compostela to Boimorto
We spent three nights recovering before heading out of Santiago and heading the much less well-trodden Camino Norte in reverse up towards the coast.
40km / 590m uphill
Day 15: Boimorto to Baamonde
A lot of up and down through forests and farmland. Also a lot of rain.
50km / 500m uphill
Day 16: Baamonde to Abadin
Some pleasant cycling through woodlands, and a fair amount of concern that we were lost.
40km / 350m uphill
Day 17: Abadin to Ribadeo
A lot of downhill today as we steam out of the mountains towards the coast. It is easy to kid yourself that the coast will be nice and flat - and we know it won't be, but this downhill stretch feels GOOD!
We reach the stunning coastline today.
